Can I Run Dishwasher Lines Below Floor
I will drill holes through the joists just under the floor to the sink.
Can i run dishwasher lines below floor. Most dishwashers have adjustable legs in the front. My idea is to drill a hole in the floor and run it right under the floor. Go under the floor. To install the water line to the dishwasher you ll need to connect to a shutoff valve on the hot water supply pipe under the sink.
During the layout stage plan to run the drainpipes parallel to the floor joists when possible. The last option is to run a drain line under the floor and attach to the sink drain below the floor. When installing the laminate under the dishwasher you will need to pay attention to the top of the door. When i get there i will raise the line to the high loop to a level with the top of the dishwasher the down to the tap in the drain before the p trap.
If you direct connect below the floor and the line becomes blocked most likely the sewage will back up into the dishwasher remind me if i ever visit not to eat or drink from your dishes. Its not necessary to remove the dishwasher when installing laminate flooring. An important step in running drain lines occurs on paper before the actual plumbing begins. The easiest way to do this is to replace the existing shutoff valve with a dual outlet shutoff valve so the same valve can serve the sink faucet and dishwasher with one valve.
To remove it would involve disconnecting the water feed line the water drain line and the electrical wiring.
