Can you glue ceramic tile over ceramic tile. Instead of laying down glue you simply remove the paper backing and stick the tile to the floor. Proceed to tile the floor as you normally would. Spread a bed of strong adhesive such as portland cement or the adhesive recommended by the new tile manufacturer over the existing tiles. These cavities are usually caused by the lack of adhesive between the tiles and the sub flooring but can also be a result of an earthquake or a construction site nearby.

The tiles contain a thin layer of adhesive that firmly sticks to sub flooring materials.
