Porcelain lamps are nonporous a characteristic that leaves them poorly suited for paint adhesion. So if you have something glossy ceramic around your house that could be spruced up with a coat of spray paint then don t hesitate to try it.
You must condition the lamp using friction based abrasion techniques or the new finish will ultimately flake and shed. Generally you want to spray in light even coats waiting a few minutes in between each coat.
